Born on August 9, 1963, Whitney Houston was an American singer and actress. Whitney Houston was an American singer and actress whose first four albums, released between 1985 and 1992, and amassed global sales in excess of 86 million copies. Whitney Houston began singing in church as a child. Whitney Houston is a modern day tragic hero because she was an amazing singer. She had a tragic flaw of arrogance and she suffered retribution by committing suicide.

She died because she used a lot of drugs and she was getting beat on and she couldn't take it anymore Cocaine and metabolites were contributory to Houston’s death, but found other substances in her body including marijuana, Xanax, flexeril.Whitney told oprah that even when she was her room doing drugs. She would often play gospel music and read the bible. Whitney was suffering, she was doing poor. The effects of heart disease and cocaine found in her system were contributing factors as well.The lesson that is learned from this tragic is that you shouldn't go through getting beating on and should not suffer .Houston didn't have to live her life like this but she did . She should have did the right thing, but this was the
