Whiplash is a term that most people have heard from time to time. It is a term that is often associated with an accident where vehicles are involved. Though many have heard the term, they may not be aware of what whiplash actually is. Whiplash is an injury that is caused when an individual’s head or neck is jerked quickly in a forward or backward motion. This jerking motion can result in a stretched or torn muscle or tendon in the neck. The result is damage to the soft tissue within the neck.
