What Makes The Best Bubble Solution Research

Purpose What makes the best bubble solution? In order to make a best bubble solution, I have to use detergent, corn syrup, water, and glycerin. By the best, I mean a mixture that creates a solution which will last long.
Acknowledgments I would like to thank everyone who helped me make my project successful. First of all, I would like to thank my teacher Mr. Mackey’s help. He provided the instructions and explained how to do an essay and a poster board. Secondly, I would like to thank you my parents, aunt, and brother. My parents helped me choosing a topic for my science fair project. My aunt helped me to organize and format my essay. My brother helped me in the experiment, for example, making the bubble solution or even testing the solution

I have to use detergent, corn syrup, water, and glycerin to find out a way to make the best bubble solution. By the best, I mean a mixture that creates a solution that lasts the longest. The solution which makes bubble lasts long before it pops will be the best solution. My question is based on bubble-ology. All I have to do is test different mixtures and time them. Water is the common ingredient in all of the solutions. The first solution is with detergent only. In the second solution, I used detergent with glycerin. The final bubble solution includes corn syrup plus detergent. While testing the time, I could even see if using a different shape for the wand like hearts or stars still makes the bubble turns out to be circles. The steps for this project seem pretty easy. What makes the best bubble solution is in the form of a question for …show more content…
Dawn) - 1 bottle
Glycerin, small bottle (available at the drugstore or pharmacy) - 2
Light corn syrup - 1
Pipe cleaners - 1 pack
Permanent marker - 1
Stopwatch - 1 Mason jars are used to separate the solution. The measuring cups/spoons are for splitting the distilled water, dishwashing soap, glycerin, and light corn syrup. Pipe cleaners are going to be used as the bubble wand. You could make it different shapes like square or diamond to see if the bubble still turn out to be circle. The stopwatch is to time each mixture to see which bubbles stay the longest before popping. The following is the list of material for the experiment;
Poster board
Colored Paper
Paint
Coloring supplies
Pictures
To display my project, I use poster board. The colored paper is used to outline the information. In addition, paint and coloring supplies are used to decorate the board. There are some additional supplies such as pencil and eraser are also used to work on the project.
Procedure I did my essay throughout the process. The last thing I did for my science fair project was my poster board display. My experiment was done in about 2 to 3 days. My research was completely finished in a few days before completing the display board. That is because I learned new things while doing the written report, experiment, poster, and the computer research on just the topic

In the nine unknown solutions experiment there was nine solutions that were labeled with just numbers from one to nine and all of these one to nine solutions were mixed together randomly to see what kind of reaction it would form. There were mostly no reactions being formed but the reactions that were soluble and insoluble formed different colors of precipitate. The main importance in finding the nine unknown solutions was to prevent any inaccuracies that might form when there is a chemical compound forming. This experiment was done to determine the identity of the nine unknown solutions like color (physical trait), and chemical characteristics.…

Ooblek Activity Goal: Use the RACE method in writing the conclusion of a scientific lab report by examining the amazing properties of a substance called Ooblek. The RACE method consists of restating the problem, prompt or assignment, answering the problem, prompt, or argument by making a claim, citing the evidence from the text or lab that supports or disputes your answer, (using qualitative or quantitative observations) and explaining and elaborating your answer using the evidence cited and describing what your evidence revealed/relating it to the real world. Problem: Three liquids (water, glue, borax) are mixed together in a dixie cup. Will the resulting substance be a solid, liquid, or gas? In addition, upon creating the substance did a chemical or physical change occur?…

Based on the results of the control experiments, the interaction between the Calcium Chloride and phenol red are responsible for the high temperature change in the overall reaction. After doing a control experiment with Sodium Bicarbonate and phenol red and noticing that the temperature got colder, only one other chemical mixed with phenol red could be responsible for the warm temperature change that chemical being Calcium Chloride. There was a temperature change that was observed during the individual control labs as seen when calcium chloride was mixed with water it became hotter and when calcium chloride was mixed with the phenol red it also grew hotter in temperature. Though during the lab which mixed phenol red with baking soda the temperature…

After 9 minutes (“more time under light source”), there were more bubbles than at the beginning. However, it was not due to the closeness of the lamp but to the amount of time under it. Also, the plant was heated up towards the end and it gave results, even though the distance between the plant and lamp was greater. Some possible mistakes that could have occurred during this experiment can include the following: Miscalculating the distance between the Elodea plant and the light source.…

The Thermodynamics of Potassium Nitrate Dissolving in Water Introduction: This experiment focuses on thermodynamics or the study of heat and molecular randomness. It helps illustrate how and why potassium nitrate (KNO3) dissolves in water. When it dissolves, it dissociates into potassium (K+) and nitrate (NO3-) ions. These ions can also recombine into solid potassium nitrate. This reaction can reach a state where concentrations of ions remain constant or Ksp; which stands for the equilibrium concentration for the solubility product.…
