Yo soy un orgullosa Peruana. I was raised in a Peruvian household by my parents, who were immigrants that came to America for job opportunities. My parents have passed down Peruvian traditions from certain foods to cultural dances. Within my community, I perform huayno, a cultural dance that demonstrate the love of my heritage. Moreover, I volunteer at El Centro Hispano, an organization that supports the Hispanic community in any means of educational programs and advocacy. Overall, El Centro Hispano brings awareness to the Hispanic community and I utilize my voice and actions to aid my community.
