The purpose of a Public Relations Secretary within the Alpha Sigma Kappa Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa is to promote Phi Theta Kappa on campus and in the community. Positional duties such as writing a monthly newsletter, filling out and submitting paperwork, creating flyer and power point advertisements, posting and updating bulletin board announcements, and participating in chapter meetings and activities are completed on a regular basis. Other duties performed on an as-needed basis include buying supplies, placing poster board announcements throughout campus, and decorating promotional display cases in the grand hall. Participation in Phi Theta Kappa conferences, and communication with fellow members, other students, and college faculty remains
