Throughout history, historians have debated on the cause of WWI, whether it was militarism or imperialism. In my opinion, the cause of this war was the secret alliances between the countries. While doing the packet, I was able to infer that the cause was alliances because of the fights caused by the secret friendships. Though there were other attributes to the cause of the war, I believe that the leading cause of World War I was definitely the unknown alliances. As shown in Document A, the countries had a large divide amongst them that went to prove how different the ideas of each country were.
