d) The indirect way I express affection is by being sarcastic and saying “I’m joking” when the real background story is that I’m not joking and when saying or doing affectionate things makes it less awkward to me when its know to be a joke instead of taking it seriously. Another indirect way I express affection is by calling my family member or friends whenever I’m not home to check up on her so underneath of all of it they still know I love them.
