Meanwhile in the movie, Ichabod seems petrified as he is hearing the legend. He wouldn't eat nor talk either; he would just be quiet and listen. He had a face expression like if he would just seen a ghost. There are many differences between both but they certainly have something in common, both Ichabod and Brom Bones are in love with Katrina. Which can be comprehended because in both stories she is described as a beautiful, blonde, women. There is only something that doesn't match, the ending. In both stories many things are changed like the persecution and what happened to Ichabod. In the movie they give an alternative ending, Ichabod survives the attack of the hessian trooper and moves out of Terry town and begins a new life with a new family.
