What Is Chevrolet's Camaro?

Chevrolet has finally taken the wraps off its newest version of Camaro, the high-performance 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1. The company claims that the new Camaro model delivers unprecedented levels of technology, refinement, track capability, and straight-line acceleration.

The Camaro ZL1 is the first GM car to offer the new 10-speed automatic transmission, and its 200 pounds lighter than its predecessor thanks to the new vehicle architecture called Alpha platform lighter architecture that promises better handling.

Powering the new muscle car is a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 LT4 engine with tailored intake and exhaust systems. The engine is rated at an estimated 640 lb-ft. of torque (868 Nm) and 640 horsepower.
