Growing up as a child, I was taught to work hard for my own success and to take pride in my work. Moreover, when you turn in work that does not belong to you, you are gain nothing from the assignment. Due to how I was raised, I only believed in receiving credit for work performed and constructed by me. Recently, I learned about a new innovation of online essay-writing websites. I initially saw an advertisement for them on the social media network, Facebook. Even then, before studying the ethical issues involved in professional essay writing, I was disgusted and appalled at the thought of paying for my essays to be written for me. As I’ve stated before, I’ve always tried for my own self accomplishment. In order to develop myself academically and professionally I have to be able to retain and project things on my own. Personally, I would want to tell the professor everything, but it may not be for all the right reasons. I know myself to be spiteful when I feel things are laid out in an unfair way. So telling the professor may lead to either a strong character development in my roommate, which would be great, but I more likely would expect the student to be reprimanded as a form of punishment for the lack of authenticity and effort. However, this factor does lead to my perspective that the Justice approach from “A Framework for Ethical Decision Making” would be my choice in approaching this issue accurately. We are all paying equally to go to this university and taking the exact same course. By this, we should all be treated fairly in the course work. While I realize there are different situations that people are going through, I believe it doesn’t give someone more of a right to abuse and cheat on an assignment than another
