JBA offers free 10-hour and 30-hour OSHA Construction training certifications for Queens Library customers. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration, OHSA has developed a series of trainings for workers and employers on the recognition, avoidance, reduction, and prevention of safety and health hazards in workplaces. The OSHA 10-hour training is designed for workers, while 30-hour training is intended for supervisors or workers who have a responsibility for safety. The prerequisite for the OSHA 10 & 30-hour certification training is successful completion of required job readiness workshops. Participants can register for job readiness workshops prior to each training.
