Now that I feel I am capable of writing my narrative I can take a start and do some research on progressing the marketing as well as that Dad, making me read the Wonderful thousand splendid suns has assured me what I can write is absolutely up to me and along with that the book has helped me learn a few new words and as well has taught me what style shall I pick for types of scenes and sequels I am writing. I was 10 years old. I looked from the edge of the mat, unaware about the endeavor I was about to take the moment my foot touched that mat. I finally decided to walk on, like they had taught me by bowing, it was the first of a near million times I was going to do this. I was a white belt, at the best taekwondo centers in the area. All the kids, stood to the side eerily silent, waiting for instructions.…

The first time, I enrolled in this class, I felt excited knowing this class would help on my grammar, so I can become a better writer. My first thought that cross my mind was this was going to be easy and it was. My last experienced with writing and English was okay because I mainly get a B or a C, but rarely I would get an A. I always been having trouble with grammars. My high school English teachers taught us about grammars and how to become a better writer. It was similar to what you had taught us in class because we always learned about grammar out of a book and we got tested after we been practice.…

When I was a child I always though about business. I wanted to know how things worked, how money worked. I started watching my grandfather write his invoices, deposit checks, talk to people as if he knew them but they had just met. I wondered how he did it, how he played his cards right and got people to hire him.…

My writing experience: I didn’t start to read until I was in first grade. Every week we would go to library to check-out two books and take a test on the books we read on a computer. Every day in English we read a short story to ourselves then we would play games dealing with the story to make it fun. To be honest I never really did a lot of writing in Elementary , Middle, or High school so I can’t pinpoint when I started writing. In essay writing I learned its always good to express yourself with your own opinion.…

My first year at Colorado College helped me identify where I should focus my efforts to improve my writing in the future. The most significant gain from my first year here has been a clearer understanding of my writing process. This has resulted in realizing a number of ways to improve my writing. Besides time management, I have identified some areas where I can improve my actual writing. I need to structure my writing time better: planning my essay before I begin writing, keeping an updated copy of my outline on hand, giving myself interim deadlines, and allowing plenty of time for editing.…

I did not know how to start or how to begin writing something unique. On the second time working on it, I just thought Before I turned my final draft in, I was nervous if I’ll get a good grade or not. In the end, I received a great score with a nice comment and that essentially made me grow to become a different writer I am today in a both positive and negative…

I was called by my teacher today. I knew that he was impressed with my writing before and so had a relieving kind of feeling, but that all went away when I saw him. The facial expression of disappointment made itself clear. He started by telling how my paper was too good that it was impossible for this much improvement to happen. He tells me that I cheated or copied someone else’s paper.…

As I've gotten older in middle school I can see how much iv changed over the years and how my work has gotten better. At the beginning of the year, I didn't understand the writing techniques. I've always struggled with my writing and organizer and always been behind, but now I understand my topics and what I'm supposed to be writing. One of my greatest strengths is being able to create a story out of anything, I also took it in my hands to make sure all my questions are answered to understand what I'm writing about. Yet, there are also parts I need to improve my grammar and word choice.…

What I learned about myself is that I have potential for being a global manager. Looking over the questions, I tend to lack in my experiences more than my actual skills. What I’ve learned is that I can adapt quick and connect with people easily, but I don’t have many experiences in it. To widen my range of experiences I would most likely have to travel more and emerge myself directly into new cultures. I would also have to study different languages a bit more for that is an area I very much lack in.…

When I was younger, I would eat up books faster than I got them. I’d frequently been caught reading books in the zaniest of places. I remember wanting to try writing, although I could never fully convey the words in my mind onto paper. Every once in a blue moon when I was able to; only I could understand what I wrote. It had fascinated me, and honestly frustrated me, that people could write these whimsical and arcane books that I’d held onto like a mother to her child.…

Writing has never been one of my strongest skills nor my favorite. Even though I enjoy reading another person’s writing the thought of someone else reading mine just sends chills down my spine. I wouldn’t consider myself a decent writer whatsoever. This defiantly gets in the way of how I feel about writing at times, because it makes me insecure of what others are going to think after they finish reading my essay. When I signed up for ENGL 1301 I was quick to assume the course was just going to consist of reading a lot of material and taking quizzes that covered the readings.…

Over the first semester I feel I have been appropriately challenged in the area of writing we have done this year. Because I never paid close attention to specific rules in how to write. I truly believe it has been hard for me.…

I think that no matter what I am writing, I am always writing for a specific reader. Be it work emails or school assignments, I always keep in mind who I am writing to, so that my writing style does not come off as unprofessional, not respectful, or “too proper”. For example, in the design industry, you can never know whether a person will expect complete professionalism from you, or will he want to talk like a human instead of a robot. When writing emails to clients, coworkers or the boss, I first try to understand my audience and “predict” what level of professionalism will they expect from me, and only then I will send my email to avoid making a fool of myself.…
