Surviving is simple, just don't die. However, for the youth, in the beginning you can't always control it. If a baby is not told to stay out of the road, than the baby will go in the road. Babies can't control how they are raised, so it is up to the parents to make sure they raise them right. One way for a parent and newborn to connect is skin to skin contact. This kind of contact soothes the child and shows them that they have a special connection that calms them. However, this method does not teach the baby that they will always be able to rely on someone else. Babies imitate the mothers emotion. This teaches children how to be social in a social based world. A man named Arber Tasimi was a researcher at Yale who was trying to do good things for the benefit of others. This is the definition of flourishing. "To use your talents for the benefit of others around you" One day he was walking out of a restaurant and got beaten up by a gang of seven men. He took a long recovery as he felt he was reverting to the life of a newborn child. He felt as if everyone were doing everything for him. How could he go from flourishing all the way back to stage one? It would only make sense if you were already flourishing to begin
