When I think of the Honors College, I think of leaders, dedicated students, and role models. All those traits describe me. I am a dedicated student, I do what I have to do to get things done. I have worked hard during my junior year of high school and moved from number four in my class to number two. Also, I always focus on school no matter what is going on in my life. Within a year and a half, I lost my last living grandparent, my aunt, my uncle, and my family lost our house. Throughout all that I managed to keep my grades up, be on the freshmen volleyball team, and get a job to help my family out with the bills. …show more content…
When doing group work, I am almost always in charge. For example, I am the leader of my homecoming project group in my marketing class. I am also the leader/captain of my team for the ProStart Culinary Competition that I have participated in junior and senior year. My team members believe that I am the best candidate to take care of all the paperwork and make sure everything that needs to be done gets done. I would also like to believe that I am someone people can look up to. I am a generally nice person, people can come to me with their problems, and I am someone people can trust. I volunteer at a food bank of sorts through a club that I am a part of at my school and I am supposed to be coaching a middle school volleyball team at my local recreation center.
