What Caused The Persian Gulf War

The Persian Gulf War was a war that began in 1990 due to Iraq being in debt with other states, and because of this of this, the Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein ordered to invade Kuwait as he accused them of siphoning oil and wanted Kuwait and Saudi Arabia to cancel out $30 billion worth of debt. Before this happened, the president of Egypt wanted to negotiate with Iraq and Kuwait to not get the U.S. involved, but he denied and ordered the invasion of Kuwait. In response to the invasion, U.S. president George H.W. Bush, along with Britain and the Soviet Union, told Iraq to withdraw from Kuwait. But a couple of days later, on August 8, the Iraqi government added Kuwait as one of its provinces. And on November 29, 1990, the U.N. Security Council
