Some of my strengths in writing is that I take criticism well, grammar, and spelling. I was on the yearbook staff at my high school and I had to write many pages of stories and then have them edited. I was very good at looking at the corrections that needed made and doing them without getting frustrated. I also had a ton of practice with grammar and spelling in yearbook. Spelling has been something I have always been good at, but now with all the tools provided for us, to spell something wrong would just be a reflection of my laziness. I am very bad about getting off topic when I am writing because I start to think about other areas of the topic and do not stay focused on the main point. I go on rants about topics that are not related to the main point. For example, in my first development write about the silicon valley school, I do not get to the main purpose of the text until a few paragraphs down. I also never state the author or article because I went on a rant about how the school was changing. I believe not making an outline correlates with me getting off topic because I do not write out what points I want to write about. I often try to create an outline but I get to writing to much in the outline and it turns into my essay and I usually do not complete the entire outline which makes it difficult to organize and finish my
