How the Rock Cycle Works by using Chocolate We did a chocolate lab that represented the rock cycle. We used white and dark chocolate in this lab that was the rocks. Than we made the rock into sedimentary which we squashed it together. Than we wrote down what it looked like and we went to stepping on the chocolate which made metamorphic rock. Than we went to the heat plate and we put the bag of chocolate in the hot water and it turned the chocolate into a warm/liquidy substance that is called the magma.

Materials and Methods The materials that was used in the lab was
White and brown chocolate
Cheese shredder
Plastic bag
Cup of warm water
Heavy textbook

First both the white and brown chocolate was shredded into the cheese shredder separately, then the shredded chocolate’s was put into a plastic bag, after it was put in a plastic bag. You put it in the cup of warm water and leave it there for 5 to 2 minutes .after the 2 minutes was over you leave it overnight where it will harden then the next day you use a textbook and put it on the bag of chocolate and stand on it for 5 minutes then after the time was up you examine it to see what shape it formed and you break it to see if it breaks easily and …show more content…
First use shredded dark and white chocolate with a cheese grater. Than smash the chocolate with your hands and then, put a book on it for three to five minutes. Last, is to melt it with boiling water and let it sit over night. When it was shredded it had a lot of small pieces and some big one too there and there, then smash with the book it was like sand, boiling it with water made the chocolate look like magna and after it cool down, the chocolate became one big piece of chocolate. There were really no uncertainty with the lab, beside to make sure there is a lot of chocolate use. The new thing to learn in this lab is the fact there is an how cycle on just on
