These symptoms that they experienced previously could just lead to a minor illness such as flu. Therefore, when the individual experienced the same type of symptoms, they do not actually feel that the symptoms could lead to something severe, therefore, ignoring the symptoms or delaying their treatments.
Lastly, some people could live in a less developed area or countries, whereby they are not in regular contact with any physicians. This causes them to not seek medical treatments as the time taken to actually go to the physicians could be used to work and earn money. For those living in poverty, their jobs do not pay much, leaving them little to survive. Seeking for medical treatment would cause them to not be able to work for that day; they also have to pay for their travel fares apart from the medical services.
In conclusion, I feel that one should take immediate actions if they are falling sick or happen to have any symptoms as these symptoms could be an indicator that they might be sick. As the saying goes ‘Prevention is better than cure’, one should cure the acute illness first before the illness becomes chronic. The cost of healthcare is not cheap. Imagine having to undergo a surgery that you could have prevented if you have taken the first step to prevent it to
