In America every fifty-one minutes someone is killed in a drunk driving crash. From the ages of sixteen through nineteen the risk of vehicle crashes is substantially higher. Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death among fifteen to twenty year olds, according to the National Center for health Statistics. You are at risk every time you step into a vehicle that risk automatically doubles when you decide to drive under the influence, distracted by texting while driving, or just going way above the posted speed limit.
Drinking while driving is a serious issue we face today not only from people of the legal drinking age, but for teens as well. For every one out of ten high schoolers drinks and drives. Teen drivers are seventeen times more likely under the influence to die in a car crash then they are when sober. There has been many ways we

Using your cell phone while driving is extremely dangerous. Just looking at your phone for a second could cause you to crash a vehicle. Teens are so addicted to their phones that they expect to get a response after 5 minutes of sending a message. Their fore chances are greater of checking phone while driving even if the text was sent before the car was started. “At any given daylight moment across America, approximately 660,000 drivers are using cell phones or manipulating electronic devices while driving, a number that has held steady since 2010.” (The Dangers of Distracted Driving). As shown above our addictions to our electronic devices could cause some major catastrophes expect ally when moving at such high speeds. To prevent this from happening in the future we need to make awareness of texting while driving, and setting a good example by putting you phone where you cannot getting to it while driving.
