The danger of war wasn’t just getting shot at and getting betrayed, but one of the most deadliest dangers took almost as many or maybe more lives than the shooting and that was disease.
The disease wasn't just the only thing killing the soldiers either it was also lack of resources. For example, no food, no water, vomiting from bad food,etc. When it comes to the Union and the Confederates they both face the same amount of danger. One side doesn't have more danger than the other. The diseases Dysentery and Typhoid Fever was some of the biggest civil war diseases.
