Genetic Modification Genetically modifying food is a widely and strongly debated topic. This is important because genetically modified food can resolve most, if not all our food related problems. Many people think genetically modified foods are ingenious, but many others believe that they are unnatural and are hurting parts of the economy. Genetically modified foods now contain such as vitamins and fibres, but it also can harm the animals being genetically modified. Genetically modified food help people stay healthy everywhere. Around 2 billion people on this are malnourished. Their diets do not contain the vitamins and minerals person needs needs, so they are sick more often, especially kids. Many poor people were getting sick much easier than the middle class and wealthy. This is because the staple foods were not genetically modified, but the more expensive foods were. Now that we have been genetically modifying food, we can take out the bad nutrients, and put in the food (Bouis). A downside to genetic modification one could argue that it is unnatural. Genetic modification is not the only way to make the plants and animals healthier. Another way to handle this is selective breeding, where one plant or animal is closer to the wanted plant or animal, so they breed it to make another generation of the plant or animal. It is more natural and safer for the animals. Its weakness though, is that it takes much longer and the wanted result will not always come out. Especially in animals, they might not change at all because all of the cows and bulls on the farm have very similar DNA. This highly debated issue has a clear better side. It is Obvious that most if not all food should be genetically modified. It can be used for medicinal reasons, or just to put some simple vitamins or minerals inside the food. If food is not genetically modified, staple foods would be less healthy and people who are unable to afford the good, healthy food would get sick easier, and have a greater chance of being
