Whales have very interesting diets. But to understand a whale’s diet, you first need to understand the two types of whales. First, there is the right whale. This type of whale is slow, big, has tons of oil, and floats when killed. These types of whales eat almost all krill. Whales use this because they reflect their sounds off objects to tell where they are, and what is around them such as predators or other whales. This way, if there is an encounter with a predator, they are more ready for it. The older whales protect the young by surrounding the young in almost a wall, so that predators cannot reach them.
