To solve this issue, I made use of UWE Careers Services and Infohub by setting up various meetings with both Law and Business Programme Leaders, Student Advisors and Leader of International Partnerships in UWE to understand the various modules and opportunities that would be offered to me if I were to take up the following course. Also, I consulted my family members and friends for advices, as they have more experience than me in the working field. My role is to oversee the wellbeing of over 400 Malaysians in UWE. When applying for this role, I asked previous committee for advice to understand the role and responsibilities. I attended Society Development Meeting held by SU Opportunities team to enquire further assistance. During my term of being a Welfare and Communications Officer, I have learnt to emphatise with people’s feelings and surroundings. The committee members have successfully organised many events as by ‘sharing the same goal, setting deadlines and effective communication’; elements of team success. Moreover, I applied to be a student ambassador in UWE Bristol and have worked in a few Open Days, which enabled me to work hand in hand with other student ambassadors as well as, improving my adaptability skills in talking to a diverse collection of people regarding to their needs accordingly. Furthermore, I have involved myself in a few volunteering schemes when possible, such as Goodgym Bristol and Edge
