The cars we drive and a lot of things inside of the houses we live in have been welded together. Welding does not pay very good at the start but the better you get at it the more money comes in. Now you could go to Southeastern University for welding or construction get paid really big bucks but it's unlikely. The more experience you have in Welding the more money you will make it just takes time. Opportunities in the occupation are high. You could travel the world working for the army or you could just stay in your hometown Welding in your backyard shed because your wife won't let you use the garage. You can definitely make a great living in this job and be happy. Now i don't recommend having a wife or kids at home if your wanting to travel the world welding. Underwater Welding is where the money is at. 14.Underwater Welders start at about $80,000 and go up from there. The risk of serious injury or death is higher though. 15.There is a lot more to underwater Welding than just normal Welding and it requires four years of college. 16.
