If team LLLS boiled, evaporated, and filtered salt water, then we could find a cheap efficient way to desalinate water to provide more water to livestock, farms, and for human use. We have determined that there are three possible ways to desalinate water. These methods include boiling, solar energy, and filtering. These methods make up the independent variable of the experiment. An independent variable is something within an experiment that you have the ability to change.
