With Sweden being the top country in waste management, Avfall Sverige is the Swedish’s primary waste management company with 400 members from both the public and the private waste management and recycling sectors, representing 99,9 per cent of the Swedish population. It is a representative for its members in addressing politicians, other decision makers, authorities and media, both in Sweden and internationally. Founded in 1947, it remains a stakeholder and trade associate in waste management and recycling.

In doing so, Avfall Sverige will still have to look out for lack of communication of strategic objectives, whether consistent goals are met. The role of Management Accounting systems here is to ensure there is constant sharing of information to minimise these problems.
