Reconstruction in the South took place during 1865 through to 1877. It was not a success for many reasons. It finally came to an end about 10 years.This event had to do with much racism in the south.Back then blacks or african american were not treated fairly by the whites. Blacks were not allowed to go to school with the whites or work with the whites. The reconstruction was a great failure for the united states.During this time Lincoln was trying to help with the reconstruction.But he died before this happened. The reconstruction was meant to bring the united states together and make everyone equal.But it never happened because the reconstruction was a failure.Reconstruction was during the civil war .The govt played a big part in the reconstruction.Accountability …show more content…
African americans were then allowed to get an education and a job.Southerners took advantage of the weak and new system and turned it on itself, that's what set it up to fail.There were many opposing factors during the reconstruction both politically and economically.Southern's opposing social change had a big part in the failure of the reconstruction.The south fought for rights and equality during this time they wanted to be equal more than anything.The reconstruction was pretty much forced on the southern states that led to a big part of its …show more content…
I enjoyed doing this essay I think i learn more when i do essays. Even though it was hard for blacks back then things have changed and people treat them better now. However there are still some racist people out there today who discriminate against them today.I dont think its right but some people can't help it that's how they were raised and everyone should respect each other's opinions even if they don't like their views. I really enjoyed this essay and how informative it was I hope we do another one soon I learn a lot better when I do essays instead of book
