According to Wikipedia, “a promise is a commitment by someone to do or not do something” When people make promises to us, we expect them to keep or fulfill them. Likewise, when we make promise to people, there is an expectation to fulfil it.
Obviously, I think the government should enforce both written and unwritten promises made between individuals, and corporation alike. The case of Locke, Clint Eastwood, and Warner Bros. is a typical example of cases government should enforce. In my consideration, Warner Bros. aided Eastwood in his nefarious activity on Locke while at the sometimes, Warner Bros was actually frustrating the career of Locke. Emotionally, Locke suffered tremendously from a broken relationship of a long time standing and then, her career prospect was being jeopardized by Warner Bros. under the influence of Clint Eastwood. Amazingly, Locke lost the case in trial, and the appeal court use words that astound me beyond imagination when in its judgment
