It is warmer in Ohio in the summer time because Ohio is located in a reigion of Earth subject to various seasons. Seasons are caused by the different angles of which sunlight contacts the Earth. The Earth is on a tilte axis. This means while the Earth is rotating the sun, the sunlight makes contact at different angles. With a more direct, and steeper angle, sunlight is more absorbed and retained by the ground. This is the type of exposure we experience in the summer months in Ohio. In the winter, Ohio is in a position which experiences shallow angles of exposure and the light gets more spread out.
