Although Baton Rouge’s population is relatively less than Atlanta’s and significantly less than Houston, Baton Rouge face a lot of the same issues these two cities face when it comes to their pedestrian bicycle systems. Walkscore.com does not have a transit score for Baton Rouge’s but I believe it would fall in the same high 30’s to high 40’s category. I agree with this because most of the city’s attractions are within walking distance from each other, and the shopping centers and malls are relatively close to most residential neighborhoods. Likewise, the transit systems are much more effective and reliable in these cities. Having visited both of these cities multiple times, I have physically used the transit systems and can attest to the fact that they are much more convenient than Atlanta’s transit system. They have efficient stops and the wait time is significantly less than Atlanta’s wait time. Washington D.C has a good bike system throughout the heart of the city and throughout the numerous attraction the city possesses. Therefore, I agree with their bike score of almost 70 percent. However, I do not agree with Walkscore.com not having a bike score for Toronto. Toronto has an excellent bike system compared to Atlanta and Houston.
