The United States civilians helped the war effort by supplying equipment they passed a national speed limit to help preserve tires due to not having rubber. The American people came together to not only support but to do what they could to help the war effort. The effort to put together teams of highly educated people in their fields gave the U.S and British the advances in radar as well as a team that could crack the Enigma machine which I believe was a major impact on the German front the U.S knew where they were going to be or where they were going to attack and could defend against them as well as go on the offensive. They could cut off supplies to the enemy troops. The advancements in medical granted not as good as they are today what they did saved lives and returned soldiers to their families which should be the main goal. By keeping more people on the battle field meant a greater fighting force. Everyone has seen the photos of the atomic bombs being dropped and the aftermath of that it does not matter if we were alive at the time or not. We do know that we do not want to have to resort to using that kind of weapon again so the continue advancement in military weapons and tactics are important to not do more harm than good.
