Vote Of Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is around the corner! It’s the time to have a feast and celebrate but, we also should be thankful. Thanksgiving isn’t always about the food and vacation, it’s about being thankful. We should thank the Lord for this Earth to start of with. I’m thankful for what the Lord has done for me. I am thankful for many things. I can’t count all of them and I probably don’t notice them everyday. I have many reasons why I am thankful for them, too. I am thankful for my life. I’m fortunate to have a healthy body and a working brain. I have a beautiful home and a great school, too. I have lots of people in my life who I am thankful for. I had a Thanksgiving party and a lot of my friends and family came over. We socialized and played games at the party. I hope I get to do it again this year because it was fun. I loved it when we played cards. Everyone is pretty competitive in my family so I didn’t win but, my cousin won. Earlier in Thanksgiving break, I went shopping. I got lots of fall clothes and I still have them. I decorated my room but I took down the decorations because it is winter now.I am planning to put them back up. After that, I pretty much just stayed home. I took so many naps and I just got out of my room to go to the restroom or eat. I looked like a bird in it’s nest because I barely got out of my room. I learned the real reason of Thanksgiving last year. I used to think it was just about pilgrims and turkey. I thought it was all about fall, dark colors, food, and getting together. But, I found out last year that it was about giving thanks to the Lord. I thank the Lord every night for everything He has done in my life. If I didn’t know God, I don’t think I would be at this school or even this state. I know God sent me to this school for a reason. Thanksgiving is a great holiday to give thanks.
