I was offered to go to a gifted and talented school where I would be required to give greater works than what I was used to. However, the problem arose when we found out there were no 8th graders being accepted at the time. The only option I had was to attend the school next door which was just opening. Starting the registration process was very extensive and arduous. I was required to obtain several recommendation letters, create a 5- minute video answering why I chose Vista Academy from every other school, plenty of surveys asking what I have done in service for our community, explain to administration who I am, and the longest of all, MAPS testing.
