The Virgin Mary was born in the town of Nazareth. God had witnessed her as she grew up and was delighted by what he saw. Although Mary had free will, she chose not to sin. She was just a poor girl from a humble family who had little expectations that her life would be any different from most, but she was wrong.
God sent the angel, Gabriel, to deliver a message to Mary. Gabriel told her that she was to give birth to the son of God and remain a virgin. Mary was delighted by this news. Mary was a willing servant of God and obeyed his call.
Mary was pregnant before she got married to Joseph and he knew that she was not pregnant with his child. She faced challenges through the pregnancy stage. People accused her of having premarital sex. In Jewish law, if you got pregnant before being married, the woman was to be stoned to death. Joseph did not want Mary to have to face charges, so he kept her hidden away, knowing that she was to give birth to the Messiah. Jesus was born on a winter night in Bethlahem. Although there was great joy in being the mother of the Messiah, there was also great suffering.

She attempted to protect Jesus, even in the worst situations. Mary and Joseph raised Jesus well, and were great teachers toward him. Mary was courageous and wise when it came to her son, Jesus. Jesus got his unusual gentleness and sympathy from Joseph. Jesus was a great teacher, just like his mother, Mary.
Mary had to witness her son be tortured to death. Yet, she never gave up on God, or her son, Jesus. She remained to obey their call and stay faithful to her Lord through the horrors she was put
