These acts were created by many factors. One of these was the Civil Rights Movement. The Civil Rights Movement only really affected whites, whose voice was heard unlike the African Americans’. Even though this was meant to affect both races, it didn’t, it just seemed to work so it would act as a “buffer zone” between whites and angry blacks. By doing this, the movement was supposed to calm down the situation. Blacks were so angry at the whites that they would not listen to anything they had to say. The whites’ leaders could go into a rioting community and they would not be listened to. African Americans would be feeling down and got shot by the policemen or citizens. This showed the whites that they were weak and would take advantage of the situation. This showed the blacks who the white people really were and made them angry. Angry, this caused the African Americans to become violent and stand up for themselves. Many people also mistreated the African Americans. Many people like the Klu Klux Klan abused them simply because they did not like them. They also destroyed their homes, bombed them, beat them, gave them death threats, and murdered them.
