The year is 2045, everyone in the United States is living their normal lives, human nature was believed to hit its peak, but some thought otherwise. Many thought a revolution was on the verge of configuration. America’s leaders were quiet, but persistent. Even though this was happening, most if not all Americans saw this modern America as a utopia. The United States were at the top of their game financially, politically, and militarily. But three kids and their classmates knew otherwise. During this era, all high schools around the White House were closed due to ‘suspicious activity’ this is what started the big speculations surrounding this new president. Because of this, a group of students hid away underneath the ground to stay safe from …show more content…
“Saw what?” another voice came from the corner of the hollowed out room underneath the ground. The voice came from a young man by the name of Damian, “Every day you come down here saying you’ve seen somethin’ or that you’ve ‘figured it out’ but you’ve never done a stinkin’ thing.” Damian wiped a tear away from his eye, “but… It doesn’t hurt to at least ask what you’ve found.” “It’s some sort of map, hologram, thingamajig *gasp* The entire District of Columbia was highlighted, but I don’t have the slightest clue about what it means.” Vier closed his eyes and started talking to himself. The other kids started to murmur about what this device could be. There were about 30 kids (with ages ranging from eleven to eighteen) in the underground facility each with their own reason being here, whether that reason being running away from the police, or just because they have got nothing better to do on a weekday …show more content…

You were on my side?”
“It’s gone too far.” Fabian was soaked with tears down his shirt. This voice came back Five…Four…Three…Two…One… A large explosion was heard from the outside; the ground shook for about a minute. “I’m sorry, I couldn’t stop it.” They looked outside and saw nothing but a baron wasteland for miles upon miles of land. “But,” Fabian looked over and saw all of the shocked faces from the kids, “We gotta do what we’ve gotta do”
For the next 15 years, these thirty kids rebuilt the United States of America up and up to the Utopia that everyone has wanted for thousands of years. The towns came back, the population grew back, and the schools and universities were stronger than ever. In charge of the entire operation, the strong trio of Vier, Fabian, and Damian took a country that was caught in a time of ruin, and brought it up to a new time of rejuvenation and brought up a new

Case Study – The CIA’s Rendition, Detention, and Interrogation Program The most recent, publicly acknowledged example of a covert action program with dubious moral footing is the Rendition, Detention and Interrogation program (RDI), authorized by President George W. Bush in the days following the terrorist attacks of 9/11. In 2009 by Executive Order, President Obama ended the CIA program and prohibited the use of Enhanced Interrogation Techniques (EITs), including water-boarding. The President also prohibited the CIA from operating detention facilities and directed that only interrogation techniques detailed in the Army Field Manual would be authorized. According to the CIA’s official account of the RDI program, three detainees were water-boarded.…

Should a cluster of bright young people form one today, three objects that would be the first and most important to find their way into the box are excerpts from both male and female wardrobes, a notebook upon which the writer poured out their soul, and a small yet powerful smartphone. All three of these objects relate on at least one subject – they all represent a segment of the average teenager's life in 2015. If, in a hundred years, a person of the same age studied the aforementioned items, what would they conclude about American society today, and would the image that they formed cause shame, or pride and contentment? The American culture regrettably often fails to see beyond itself, and that is a grievous issue that people must address. Unless the citizens of America remain willing for their legacy to go down in history as one of selfishness and greed, they must rise up and take responsibility to change this world for the…
