There are many opportunities available for veterinary technicians. Veterinary Technicians can go from performing duties such as; caring for patients in different facilities, working in the office of veterinarians, and even performing medical procedures under the watch of a veterinarian. Veterinary technicians help veterinarians evaluate the condition of animals, tend to wounds, check on vitals, and also administer medications. They do this all under the advisory of veterinarians. Veterinary technicians can communicate with pet owners without the assistance of a veterinarian. In order to do this they need good communication skills.
