The ethical values in medicine are ultimately the same. Veterinarians must take the same precautions as Doctors when it come to their patients. Doctor had to uphold the same code of ethic when it come to the safety and protection of their patients. Veterinarians and their staff are morally obligated to protect patient confidentiality because even animals have rights.
The moral obligation of a veterinarian is to abide by patient confidentiality. All patient informant is to be kept completely between vet and staff. Veterinarians may not talk about treatment a patient may have received. They also may not give out any personal information about the client such as address, phone number etc...

Veterinarians are morally responsible for public safety and the prevention of disease within a community. Thus, is why all animals must be tested, vaccinated, and have a record of every medical procedure performed on a specific animal. “A veterinarian shall respect the privacy rights of clients, colleagues, and other health professionals and shall safeguard medical information within the confines of the law,” (principles of). If these records are not kept up to date, there could be fines for not holding the proper paper work for the safety of your animal. Also, the safety of the public is at risk if your animal has a decease such as rabies or parvo and could be deadly to your animal’s health.
Every animal and human have rights. I believe each animal and person deserves respect, also, the right to live. The ethical issue due to doctor patient confidentiality isn’t a big issue as long as everyone abides by laws set for that specific reason. Human are supposed to take care of the animals most call family. I would do anything humanly possible for all my animals. Every animal person does everything in their power to help their animals and that how vets are born. They want to save lives and educate others on how to treat
