Most of the world's populations has pets. Whether it’s dogs,cats,lizards,guinea pigs, hamsters etc.Animals can get sick, and when animals are not well, they need specialized doctors. These are known as Veterinarians. (www.collegegrad.com, N.D) Veterinarians make our loving companions okay again.
. Veterinarians are very well known but all the things they do aren't commonly recognized. They check to diagnose animals, they treat animals for medical conditions, they treat and dress wounds, they can perform surgical procedures, they test for vaccinations, and they can operate equipment to detect things to help diagnose animals. (www.collegegrad.com,N.D). The top three veterinarian jobs are a receptionist or administrative assistant, an account manager, at trupanion territory partner. (www.collegegrad.com, N.D) Besides the good side of being able to help these animals, there are risks when handling with these animals. They are at risk of being bitten scratched and attacked. And they can be in huge danger if the animal has rabies. (www.collegegrad.com, N.D) Work schedule Veterinarians often work additional hours. Some work nights or weekends, and they may have to respond to emergencies outside of scheduled work hours. (www.collegegrad.com, N.D)

veterinarians must complete a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (D.V.M. or V.M.D.) degree at an accredited college of veterinary medicine. There are currently 30 colleges with accredited programs in the United States. (www.collegegrad.com, N.D) A veterinary medicine program generally takes 4 years to complete and includes classroom, laboratory, and clinical components.That is a lot of school to be a veterinarian but there is more to it,most states not only required to take the national exam but the a state exam as well that,that is a lot of studying.(www.collegegrad.com,
