Veteran Veterans Benefits

For years there have been soldiers who have been injured in the line of battle while defending our country. Some have been injured to a point where they do not have the ability to walk or have lost limbs in the line of duty. Despite the benefits veterans are currently eligible for and receiving, the Veteran’s Administration should be doing more for veterans. For some veterans it takes them several months just to get checked up at the VA. “Hundreds of veterans have waited months for medical attention at the VA. Of those cases, 40 or more died waiting for treatment at a Phoenix VA facility, according to a former clinic director and whistleblowers.” There are more than 505,000 veterans that are on a waiting list to be checked up and need to wait about a month before there even checked up. There are some cases where the VA are purposely not excepting veterans who need the help. Dr. Sam Foote has exposed the VA in Phoenix for hiding a waiting list with two full pages of veterans who are still waiting to still be treated. At Least 39 different veterans charities have had a very poor time trying to plan events and gather more money for their groups. A regular group spends at least ninety percent of their expenses on overhead have been widely condemned and were the subject of congressional hearings. Over the past few years there have been a handful of prominent cases of nonprofit groups that preyed on the public’s patriotism and kindness, promising assistance to veterans while lining their own pockets.
