Once a customer’s food is ready, we call out the number on the order, which they will also have a copy of, to let them know that their order is ready. Sometime passed by and the customer who took the food came back and started complaining that I didn’t give her the right food, what happened was that I called out the wrong number and the right the order was meant to be for another customer. The process that took place was that I, the sender called out an order number, I did not interpret the message clearly, then the receiver heard the message, however did not understand the message correctly, as a result of their feedback not being correct and the form of communication was verbal, that was due to not hearing the right order number. In addition, the breakdown of communication was quickly resolved, as I was able to explained the situation. I then got one of two of my workmates to make new orders for both the customers, as the other customer was already waiting for her order which was took.
