Valley Pharmacy In Saratoga

Decent Essays
Finding a good pharmacy, has been a challenge for me. I Decided to compare two different pharmacies, Valley pharmacy in Saratoga, that is 20 miles away from my home and Walmart pharmacy in Rawlins that is 60 miles away. Both pharmacies carry the medicines that I take, although Valley Pharmacy is 30% more expensive than Walmart. I'm on a limited budget and don't have prescription drug coverage, so cost is important to me. I phone my order into Walmart pharmacy And I am contacted if there is a problem with my order. Valley pharmacy doesn't contact me, the first time I'm aware of a problem is when I try to pick up my order, So I have to make another trip to Saratoga after the order is corrected. Both stores have different hours. I like to do

Thelma that is a fantastic response to this scenario. When patients approach you, it’s because they want help or may have uncertainties. Now, just because we are pharmacy technicians does not mean we can’t help them. We are definitely able to help them by directing them to the correct person. I have seen this happen in the past where a patient walked up to the counter and was told “I’m sorry I can’t help you with that” and the customer walked away without any answers to his questions.…

Alayna, You make a great point about not wanting to make a scene in front of other patients because it could potentially scare them aware. I hadn't thought about that, but I do think if I saw an encounter happening involving a doctor shopping incident in a medical office that I go to it would probably make me concerned as to what might be happening there that I'm not aware of and make me consider going elsewhere, I think it's important when speaking with the prescribing physician about a patient who shows possible characteristics of "doctor shopping" to do so discreetly. I think it would be difficult sometimes to differentiate between a patient who is addicted or a drug abuser and a patient who is legitimate. I feel it would be best to try…

Americans use more prescription drugs than any other developed country. Prescription drugs only represent 12 percent of total health care costs in the United States, but the rising prices of those drugs is an issue that keeps reoccurring not only for patients, but for prescribers, payers, and policy makers. There are people that believe that the rise in price of these drugs is appropriate, but if they keep on rising in price, the United States will start suffering not only financially but medically. Despite a lot of other aspects of the economy rising in price, pharmaceutical drugs should be lowered, or should at least be kept at a reasonable rate. The rise in prices of prescription drugs is an issue that does not seem to be going away…

The primary causes of this crisis in the Health Care System in the U.S. are the result of bad administration of the revenue from each person insured, inefficient computer software and also the abuse of so many greedy parties involved in the system (insurances, pharmaceuticals companies, malpractice, lawyers, paper-pushers, patients abusing the system, providers that are greedy, CEOc, HMOs, administrators, equipment manufacturers, hospital corporations, etc.) I would re-organize the Health Care system in the U.S, first by changing the whole administration system, second by using universal computer software and lastly, by allowing each insured person the right to contact a medical service via telephone, face-time or via an internet system. This will allow any…
