The odds that the colonials would win are very low. Not only are they not as well trained as the british army they had a terrible living conditions.(BE) The british army had a great advantage over the colonial army. They had more weapons, better trained troops and more troops along with better living condition. This made it hard for washington to keep his armies morale up (Doc A). There were few things that the colonist had on the british army. One of the things the colonist had on the british was that they were fighting in familiar land, where the british were fighting on such unfamiliar land.Not only that the british had to travel across an ocean to get to the colonies. But these two things were not enough to stop the british army from taking an early lead in the war.
