UTRGV official website (University of Texas Rio Grande Valley) states that UTRGV is an urban University located at Edinburg, Texas. Also known as the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. Founded in 2013, entered into full operation in 2015, this University has a medical school. Texas A&M and Texas Tech are also very good and prestigious schools but not completely what I need. Texas A&M official website states “Texas A&M tuition costs for full time is 12780 in state and full time 25880 out of state…”. That was kind of high and comparing it to what it must be pay on UTRGV, is way better the second one since is the one that most people can afford. According to Texas Tech website,“...Texas Tech Medical School is located in Lubbock,Texas”. It may be hard for some people, for example those coming from Mexico, to have to move all the way to there. Once again UTRGV will be a best choice for them since is very close of the bridge and make it easier for them to come and go back. So even though Texas A&M and Texas Tech were very good schools, they weren't exactly what I need to achieve my career.
UTRGV is a school that honestly fulfilled all my expectations. There I found everything I was looking for and they offer everything I need to successfully complete my career in pediatrics. The fact that the college has a medical school was even more helpful since I can ask for classes directly focused on my career instead of taking the ones on general medicine. Also I will be surrounded by other aspiring doctors which will be good to socialize and to get me into the medical
