Ursa Minor, or the Little Bear, is a constellation in the northern sky. It is made up of 7 stars and is also referred to as the Little Dipper. The North Star, Polaris, is also apart of Ursa Minor. Ursa Minor was first cataloged by Greek astronomer Ptolemy around the 2nd century. Ursa Minor is the 56th constellation in size, with an area of 256 square degrees. It is located in the third quadrant of the northern hemisphere and can be seen at latitudes between +90 degrees and -10
