The urinary tract infection scenario was focused on a 78 year old female newly diagnosed with urosepsis. The scenario addresses the client centered concepts related to multiple diagnoses, early signs of shock, and Buck’s traction. The client has a congestive heart failure and diabetes but she came to the Medical Surgical department with urosepsis. Urosepsis is a severe infection of the urinary tract which is more common in women than in men, and also more likely to occur in the elderly or people who have weakened immune systems or conditions such as diabetes. The most common determinant of urosepsis is obstruction to free flow of urine which may quickly lead to severe sepsis. This disease can progress to septic shock which is a serious and
