The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center is ranked the second best hospital in Pennsylvania and ranked 13th nationally in the best hospitals category by US News & World Report as of 2015. For over a decade UPMC has been consistently one of the 15 to 20 best hospitals in America according to the US News World Report Honor Roll. It employs more than 62,000 people, has 21 hospitals, and 400 clinical locations. UPMC is a nonprofit health organization with its academic partner being the University of Pittsburgh. It has a health insurance division with 2.3 million members.

Code of Conduct
The Code of Conduct guides the actions of people employed by or associated with UPMC and its affiliates. The Code’s written guidelines are based on UPMC’s mission, vision, values, and ethics, which outline how people must conduct themselves when providing any service on behalf of UPMC. The Code demonstrates to everyone within a safe and healthy work environment with honesty, fairness, respect, and dignity.

The UPMC Health Plan is an HMO that offers a large range of benefits.
