Upholding Expectations

Decent Essays
The expectation I am confident in upholding is attending every class meeting on time, I usually never get sick and go to school every day. In addition, checking Blackboard daily, I always can check on my phone or my school provided laptop. The expectation that will be the most challenging for me will most likely be, taking advantage of revision opportunities and writing resources. I am usually shy asking for help and rarely have time after school, with homework and projects. Another expectation I might struggle with completing or attempting writing assignments, I usually am assigned with little or no homework but sometimes I get a lot at a time, which puts me behind.
The expectation that I find most challenging is talking advantage of revision

In addition to enjoying my time of school, during the first few weeks of summer vacation the summer assignments were sent in along with the names of what teachers and classes you will have. At first I was thinking to myself, who are these teachers and what do they teach in the class called Inquiry Skills. I thought it was a class that was kind of like psychology but in a more basic level ( boy was I wrong.) All things considered, my first obstacle came when I saw the quantity of work I had to accomplish in other to prepare myself for the upcoming school year. Writing an essay on the book named Anthem for English was unbearable for the fact I never understood the book, answering a multitude of questions for the Greek story called the Iliad was…

There are six rules you should observe when confronting a poor performing employee: 1. Never confront in anger: do not let this become an emotional situation. Make sure that you have your emotions in check before confronting the employee; maybe walk around the block, count to ten or have a coffee, as this might help. 2. Do it immediately: take however long you need to get your emotions together, but as soon as you've done that, confront the poor performing employee without delay.…

Elements of the expectancy theory were very clearly demonstrated throughout this case study, and particularly with the new pay structure. With the proposed compensation plan, the physicians would have a very clear understanding of how their effort to obtain the minimum number of patients directly correlates to their individual success, and the success of their peers and hospital. The increased connection between effort input to rewards reaped for each doctor means that there is a higher expectancy value than before. Additionally, with this new plan instrumentality increases because an underperforming doctor will always have to rely on another doctor to carry their weight, and directly face the uncomfortableness and bruised ego that comes with…

Thou Shalt Attend In high school it was quite apparent that students could receive many absences with little or no consequences and still be able to maintain a good grade point average. However, in college that is not the case.
