Using the internet, NO WIKI, research the three major types of operating systems today: Windows, LINUX, and MacOS. Write a research paper describing and detailing the history of each operating system. Then for a conclusion, prepare a compare/contrast chart showing the benefits and differences for all three.

Your paper should be long enough to cover a detailed history of each system and one final separate page for your compare/contrast chart.

The three major operating systems that are used today are Windows, Linux, and MacOS. Widows works on most computers it’s even compatible with apple computers, but Mac OS cannot be used on any computers except apple computers. The next windows was windows 95 this was called that because it came out in 1995, and it had the first ever start button and start menu. Windows 95 also was the first one to introduce plug and play. Internet explorer made its first debut in windows 95. Windows 98 brought with itself outlook express windows address book, microsoft chat and netshow player. Windows 98 was the first to have the back and forward navigation buttons on the address bar. Windows me was considered a low point for windows and was the last in the windows 9x line. Windows 2000 was the first windows with hibernation.windows xp was the most popular windows operating system and maintained support for 13 years after its release date.windows vista mostly added safety features that windows xp didn't have but some of them mostly failed.windows 7 is what many thought windows vista should have been and it ran smoother. Windows 8 introduced a more touch based start screen with a bunch of tiles and had usb 3.0.windows 8.1 went back to the normal start screen with less tiles.windows 10 is just a better windows
