As a result, undocumented immigrants not only don’t qualify for public health insurance, but their typical places of employment lack private health insurance benefits as well. Furthermore, this disproportion not only affects immigrants, but their US citizen children as well, whether it be private or public health insurance. Organophosphate has been reported to affect the nervous system through disruption of the enzyme responsible for regulating a neurotransmitter called acetylcholine. A chemical pesticide produced during World War II and used today on fruits and vegetables because of their chemicals relatively low cost and ability to be applied to varies insects and crops (EPA, 2014; PAN, n.d.). Carbamate is similar to Organophosphate in that it affects the nervous system the same way. However, enzyme effects can be reversible. Organochlorines is one of the oldest, most toxic synthetic pesticide. It became available to the public in the 1940s and 1950s and commonly used in agriculture, forestry and home pest control. Nonetheless, due to its central nervous system effects and suspicions of being a cancer causing agent, it was banned in the 1970s and 1980s. Pyrethroid is the synthetic version of a natural occurring pesticide called pyrethrin, which some pyrethroids can be toxic to the nervous system. Microbial pesticides are natural occurring derived from bacterium, fungus, virus or protozoan. This is the most widely used microbial pesticide. They are commonly used to eliminate certain weeds and specific insects. Plant-Incorporated-Protectants (PIPs) is a plant produced through
